We got together on September 10, 2011 for a visit at The Syndicate Restaurant.

We went to see and hear the “Dueling Pianos” at Gangsters Lounge at the Syndicate in Newport for some fall fun. The piano players were wild and crazy entertainers. Unfortunately, our informal gathering had to compete with many other fall activities like football and Mainstrasse events, but even so, those of us there, had fun as usual.

The Class of 1965 Completes our 45th Reunion on September 24th and 25th, 2010

Our 45th Reunion was a blast. Commencement began at 7:00 PM, Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 at Chez Nora’s Restaurant located in the heart of the MainStrasse Village. We met on the second floor of Chez Nora's to rekindle old friendships in our own private room. Then we ended the evening on the rooftop garden listeneing to jazz music and just plain relaxing.

Second day activities continued Saturday beginning at 7:00 PM, Sept. 25, 2010 at Guys ‘n’ Dolls, on Route 27 - in Alexandria, KY. Over fifty of our classmates came together for socializing, dinner, remembering old times, and watching a big screen slide show about our class activites while at Dixie. After that we moved to the ballroom to listen and dance to the band “Strangelove”. We had a guest appearance by "Elvis"!!! Steve Schupe (owner) sang several songs for us and got the place really rocking. We had a great time and missed those of you who weren't able to make this fun event.

The Class of 1965 Completes 41st Reunion "Get Together" on Friday and Saturday, September 22 and 23rd, 2006

We braved the inclement weather and had a great time at El Coyote's Restaurant on Friday evening and aboard the B&B Riverboat's "Belle of Cincinnati" Saturday evening. Friday's mixer included socializing at El Coyote's just across the Dixie Highway from Dixie Heights. We anticipated visiting the Dixie/Simon Kenton football game at Dixie but unfortunately got "rained-out" from the game. The cruise on the beautiful Ohio River Saturday included a wonderful dinner served as we danced with friends to a DJ. Admiring the Cincinnati skyline view was a must from the outdoor decks of the stately "Belle". We had a good turnout for the events and again had an opportunity to meet with old friends.

The Class of 1965 Completes 40th Reunion

We are pleased you are visiting with classmates who shared their 40th reunion the weekend of October 14 through October 16, 2005. The weekend began on Friday evening at El Coyote's Restaurant in Edgewood for a casual gathering to get reacquainted with old classmates and their spouses and guests. Saturday morning gave way to a round of golf for the early risers at the Vineyard Golf Course in Cincinnati. The Metropolitan Club located on the 19th floor of the Rivercenter in Covington, Kentucky overlooking the beautiful Ohio River was the location for the Reunion on Saturday evening October 15, 2005. On Sunday afternoon, we started with a tour of Dixie followed by a mixer at Rosa Weaver's home in Villa Hills.

Saturday night was the highlight of the weekend at the Metropolitan Club. Festivities began at 7:00. With approximately ninety persons in attendance - our classmates, spouses and guests entered the club and were greeted by "red and gray" decorations on each table. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Mr. Tony Rossini. Tony is a recording artist from Memphis and currently resides in Northern Kentucky. His reputation in showbusiness was created by his ability to perform a tribute to Neil Diamond. Tony gained fame when he opened for the Righteous Brothers with his show, "A Tribute to Neil Diamond". Tony entertained our guests and graduates with songs from Neil Diamond. He performed "Kentucky Woman", "America", "Forever in Blue Jeans", and "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" to name a few. Everyone dined and danced the night away.

The reunion committee, who devoted many hours of planning, was chaired by Ed Grimes and assisted by Steve Sturgil, Trish (Dunn) Roberto, Rosa (Conover)Weaver, Lorna (Petty) Harrell, Sherry (Caldwell) Dickson, Ben Howard, Charles Moss, Dennis Kelley, and Col Owens.
