SARDONYX was a live music ministry from 1988 - 1994. SARDONYX can best be described as an 80's power metal band and had a heart for reaching the metal world of that era for Jesus Christ. Our band was founded on the premise that music is merely a tool for teaching the Bible. The metal music counter culture was our mission field and because all followers of Jesus Christ are called to make disciples of Him (Matthew 28:19-20), our calling was to this select group of people. God gave us a love for people and opened our eyes to their deep spiritual needs. We wrote songs that dealt with the issues they faced and offered answers from the Bible. SARDONYX excelled as an all original band and wrote three different recording projects to date.
The band's follow up ministry called LightShine International Ministries also produced a radio show on a local station called "Thunder Zone" which played the latest in Christian metal of the early 90s along with interviews and Bible studies. We developed a 16 page metal newsletter called the "LightShine Metal Mag" which we faithfully sent to a mailing list of over over 8,000 in 42 different countries. You can check out our website at lightshineministries.com
The Scream of the Guillotine was a solo project written, performed and directed by Tom Denlinger and was co-written and performed by friends of the ministry (Jeff Culp, Phil Williams, Bevan Carroll and Matt Goss) and had nothing to do with SARDONYX.
Tom Denlinger (vocalist for SARDONYX) maintains correspondence with fans of the band today. CLICK HERE to contact Tom.
Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:1-6)

....For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. .... ( 2 Corinthians 4, 16-5-9)
THANKS FOR THE ADD! + As the devil labours by all means to keep out other things that are good, so to keep out of the heart as much as in him lies, the thoughts of passing from this life into another world; for he knows if he can but keep them from the serious thoughts of death, he shall the more easily keep them in their sins. - John Bunyan - (puritan divine)

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer.<br /><br />When asked to define "great" he said, "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger!"<br /><br />He now works for Microsoft, writing error messages...
it would be cool if you could post the song "Sing to the Lord" on the player. the "Linear Progression" CD is so annointed and ministers to me each time i play it.
