In order of what I'd rather be doing at any given moment:
Playing Tuba, hanging out with Max, Jeph, Marshall, Justina, Houser, Justin, and all my other friends, being at camp, playing video games (Pokemon, ZELDA, Metriod, Mario Kart, Advance Wars, DS games, etc.), playing with fire and knives and tomahawks and other generally dangerous things, Doing athletic things, and so on and so forth.
Music
Well, I like to listen to several Genres of Music:
Rock: Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, System of a Down,
Jazz: The Legendary Count Basie, Glemm Miller, Sam Pilafian, BBC Big Band, Kashmere Stage Band, the Brubeck Brothers
Classical Musicians: Oystein Baadsvik, Roger Bobo, Patrick Sheridan, Christian Lindberg
Brass Ensembles: Canadian Brass, Youngblood Brass Band, Modern Jazz Tuba Project, Blast!,
Plus: Dragonforce, Weird Al, Cake, The Postal Service, assorted soundtracks from movies and musicals, and most major symphonies.

My main interest takes the form of a big shiny metal thing with buttons that I get to blow into. I'm really good at blowing into said object. So good, in fact that I win things on it.

I play first chair tuba in Davis HS Wind Ensemble, and I read the tuba parts in concert band. I'm also section leader for a bunch of people who don't play tuba.
I also play trombone rather well. I am currently 1st trombone in the Yakima Youth Symphony Orchestra, bass bone in jazz band, and the only person at our school to be able to consistently play the trombone soli from our marching show correctly.
Outside brass instruments, I'm a Boy Scout, and I'm trying to finish my Eagle Project sometime this year. No, I am not afraid to admit I'm a Boy Scout, I see nothing wrong with having other people know you're a decent person.
More importantly, I'm on full IB (International Baccalaureatte) at DAvis High School, and as such I consistently have a crapload of homework that was due a week ago.
Yes go Brass... Instrument.... things.
Wow! You are a great example of a band geek! You love being a part of band and everything that goes along with it! Stand up tall and be proud of the commitment you show to what you love! Remember, there's more to life than band... but none of it's really that important anyway! Take this quiz!

Whoo!..
We used to comment each other a lot, back in the day. And since your page is utterly lacking in recent comments, and more importantly does not have nearly enough comments from me, I thought I would leave you one. :)
Yep, there is a band frat. It's just an honorary frat though (meaning there's no house, but they do a lot of service projects). And as for the Sousas not having a website, well, maybe if you join the section you can make it happen.
=)
Sounds like a pretty good idea. Let me know how that goes. And let me know when ur at the U. Might see if I can squeeze you in to my busy schedule. lol
But seriously, do!
Oh, and did I mention that the director of the marching band is a tuba player? lol =)
Here's the link for HMB's website, in case you haven't already seen it. There's some info about the band, some certain traditions, individual section websites, and other things. If you go to the section labeled "Recruitment", you can actually leave your information so you can register for auditions.
So check it out, think about it. Good luck deciding! And I'm glad to know you're seriously considering UW!
hmmm well i hope they change there minds. its a scary thought when you're in 8th grade but once you start you find that's exactly where you wanted to be
Good. We'll say you practiced for me since I didn't hahahaha.
I really really hope there isn't a piano test this week. I am hopelessly behind if there is... I've basically only been working on technique, and even that is super shabby.
I've done plenty of research for a project due in three months though lol.
I desperately don't want to write this paper. Or practice piano. But I have to. So I keep trying to put it off like that's really going to make it go away...
ok well i was trying to put a youtube video in my presentation and i tried to copy and paste the embed thing but it didnt work. is there something i missed?
Hey I really did want to talk to you today!! And I would've when you called if I hadn't been hanging out with friends and watching a movie. (We'd been trying to get together for a YEAR now, so it was really important that I didn't blow them off.)
So I'm sorry. And I did want to talk to you about S&E and everything...
