    Hey Julie, I can answer some of those questions for you...

    yes, he is playing this weekend just in Salinas and not Monterey.  (only 1/2 hour away though)

    Knowing him as well as I do...  he would love to have one more person dancing to his music!  the more the merrier!  Come on up!

    You might want to rethink the "alone" part though...   there is no room at our house for another woman (one queen of the castle and all that, you know how that goes) so a friend might give you some company as well as split a hotel with you, go sight seeing etc....
