matt486 Apart fro Christmas Eve, I've got that off, but screw it, I'm not going shopping last day before Christmas, I've got better things to do! Posted at 2:21 PM Dec 18 view more
About me: My name is Matt Dooner, I'm 23 and I live in Lower Gornal, in Dudley. I've just finished a law degree at the University of Wolverhampton and I'm now working full time for Games Workshop, and I love it! I also play guitar in a couple of bands; Crashpoint and The Fakes.
I'm a sort of 'head in the clouds' kind of person when I'm dealing with other people; I try to think the best of everyone until they prove to me otherwise, I try to persue my dream of playing in a band no matter how unlikely it is that I'll actually 'make it,' as it were, and I try to be there for the people who need me. I would like to think that people can trust me; I certainly try to keep my word as much as I can. And I would also like to think that I have helped people either with, or through some emotional difficulties, those people know who they are and told me some things in confidence so they won't be named. I know I'm a good listener, even if I don't always say the right things.
But for all I can deal with other people, I can't seem to deal with myself very well. I'm bone idle, for a start. I spend too much time thinking. Literally I can sit in my car (the only place in the world where I can 1 deny people entry and 2 be absolutely sure I'm by myself) for about an hour at a time, running conversations (past or hypothetical) over in my mind trying to come up with solutions that either don't exist or are so impractical it's useless to even think about it at all. I let things prey on my mind, to the point where I become almost obsessed. I look too deeply into things that are barely even my business. I know I motivate myself negatively. I still feel flashes of anger over things that happened months, even years ago. It doesn't help that I know in the grand scheme of things, I have no right to be angry about anything. And as I beat myself up for not being able to do the things I so desperately want to do, the world around me moves on, people change, and become something quite different to what I knew. 2007 was not been a good year for me in that respect. Things are looking up for me now though, now that I'm in a band I enjoy, and taking pleasure from making music again, and have a job that isn't so mind-numbingly dull it's depressing. Let's see what the future holds...
I would ask everybody here to check these guys out; it is worth looking at if only to give yourself more awareness of what's going on: SAYLE: Save A Young Life Everyday
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet that special someone... I can't envisage that happening any time soon though, as I'm 23 and the closest I've ever got to a girl doesn't even count as 1st base. I would like to be in a band who I can count on to be on the same page as me, in terms of what I want to achieve. I'd like to meet a manager who can push said band forward. I HAVE met some very supportive people and I'm a proud member of the Global Village. I'd like to meet some old friends who I haven't seen for a while. I could go on.

Thanks a lot for the add ! £leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
