"One of the most original up and coming bands Ive heard this year" Ace, Skunk Anansie
"The ultimate compliment...I would play them in my car." Damo, Juice FM
"There’s so much about this band and this album which is so exciting, so vital, that it almost feels like a privilege to listen to the music." 10/10 - The Mag:
Retrofect, a dark-disco indie band, were formed in the South coast city of Chichester during their early teenage years. Retrofect, - consisting of Josh Price, Jamie Mellor, Ben Thatcher, Adam Macaulay and Joel Horne - are now exploding onto the scene following the release of their debut album, "New York Kiss." With a sound that captivates the mood of a band brought up on Radiohead, Talking Heads and The Smiths, the 5 piece have discovered a mature widescreen sound they have aptly named Dark Disco.
Renowned for their extrovert live performances, Retrofect have notched up numerous headline slots up and down the UK. The band have also clocked up tour dates with bands such as boykillboy, Little Man Tate, Linchpin, Union Of Knives, Aqualung, The Race and Joey Nightmare. The band now brings to you the New York Kiss. An autobiographical album, it deals with the band’s personal view of a turbulent year. Songs give fleeting glimpses of broken relationships, times of tension & the loss of a great friend. But delve deeper and you will find themes of hope & belief in the future.

"Resembling Jeff Buckley in his'Sketches' period. You get the feeling a band is going to be good when they start their set by sampling the feedback off a saucepan lid. What follows are songs that are more inventive in thirty seconds than the entire career of ninety per cent of bands. Looping vocal tracks, incessant beats and hypnotic guitar lines all combine into a a sound which is truly like no other. Amazing.
" Matt Butler, Drowned in Sound
FUTURES.
Joel Horne and co. take the the 'full stage' for the first time with new band Futures. Following a couple of impressive acoustic shows at la Havana, this set promises to be one that must not be missed!!
"An anthemic Stone Roses kinda rush of a band, loads of onstage fire, so much so we may need to put up disclaimers regarding the smoking ban.

We're trying to get the word out that we're looking for a new Male singer, who can sing - you know?
So far we've had people from the USA commit their lives to come and play for GS, willing to relocate, and willing to learn engrish so that they can sing for us.
Ideally, we'd like someone who is already living on the south coast. Who can already sprechen die engrish, and perhaps can play the keys, guitar - anything extra really!
