About me:
I am truly blessed to live the life I live. If given another chance without a second thought I would defiantly do day for day exactly the same.
It is pretty ironic how the people I surround myself with are similar in many ways.
Being the president of a motorcycle club you can quickly find mostly good sometimes bad in people. One minute you can be around the toughest, meanest bunch of thugs on the planet and the next minute these same people will be seen bowing there heads in prayer at a brother’s funeral or at a fund raiser for a sick child.
Mountain guides in ways are similar. Either hanging hundreds of feet off of a granite wall or cramponing up the side of a ice wall. Or freezing your ass off in tent at 17,000 feet on Denali. These guides can go from kind nature loving, full of learning tidbits people to full on. When mother nature shows you her ugly side, or some other epic situation arises, or you just want to be with someone you trust with your life and learn ten times more information about mountain climbing then you would by yourself. Yah, I am proud to say I hired a mountain guide. The last 10 years have been incredible, I have experienced many once in a lifetime treks and expeditions with guides, most often becoming some of my best friends.
Speaking of best friends I would also like to thank my wife Pam for sharing some of the best times of my life climbing in the Ironclads, Lumpy Ridge, 11 Mile Canyon and many other places or slogging up many of the 54 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado. Also thanks go out to our good friends Jeff-Donetta-Timmy, all of you have come to learn when I say “Let’s take this route it doesn’t look very hard” or “that storm looks far away we have plenty of time you won’t need a rain coat” that I really am full of shit.
The pictures you are about to see are proof that age is just a number and if you have a dream, chase it. Forget about what’s logical and likely to happen. Greet unrealistic, otherwise you have no clue what’s possible. The guides I have named below and the guide services I would like to thank very much for the countless memories and experiences and look forward to many more.
