About me:
I've taught as a modern language teacher for 20 years, but have always enjoyed writing - primarily short, fantasy stories for children, but in the past few years I've also discovered the joys of writing poetry for adults - and my first two books are collections of poetry. This is my first book: a collection of anecdotes and character sketches written in free verse, based on my own experiences as a teacher in a girls' school in the UK, although many of the poems are relevant to all teachers, no matter where they teach. Designed to entertain but also to question the ethos behind our present education system.

The big question remains. As to if my lyrical writing are songs or poems without music. ...........I just write differently. In what could be come songs, if there was ever any possible option for that to come to pass
I also enjoy this form of writing and I found I like song lyrics far better than I ever liked poems (I really do not like much in poetry. I just found that was an outlet to write and express myself ) I don't write poems. Poems compose me ..

Thank you, Angelina, for your comment - how nice to meet someone with the same writing interests as my own: poetry and children's stories. Are your children's stories also picture books/early readers or are they for older children? You're right when you say we should appreciate just being alive, being able to experience our bodies and the wonder of being able to breathe in and out, for example.
