It's 2009, and a fresh start is in order.
I guess I should properly introduce myself. My name is Vickye, and I'm 16 years old, from the town of Welwyn Garden City, in Hertfordshire, England. I'm a country girl. More country than a lot of the country girls out there, let's be honest. I've been singing since before I can remember, I've been writing songs since I was 10, and I've been playing guitar since February 2008, when I was 15. I'm a junior in high school, with all the general air and attitude of someone much older (I have my immature moments too! ... a lot of them). I've never been one to be ashamed of my intelligence. I use long words and type in sentences online that are grammatically correct. I'm extremely feisty. I'm strong-willed and opinionated and stubborn. I stand up for myself and other people, and I always strive for what I want.
That said, you could never meet someone more friendly, and I like to think of myself as a nice person. I'm always joking around and I'm proud to admit I'm crazy. I dance like a freak to Dolly Parton when EVERYBODY'S watching, and most things make me giggle like a lunatic. Yes, I said Dolly Parton. She's my idol, in a nutshell. I could not even begin to describe how much I adore her.
My God do I have amazing friends. Too many to list, but a few of my absolute besties include Mairi, Abi, Sarah, Sara, Susie, Michelle, Rachie... =)
I'm always scribbling down lyrics. Always always. I'm always in the music block at school during lunchtimes etc. Always always. And I'm always taking out my laptop, my guitar or my iPod. Always always.
I'm obsessed with planning my future. I'm currently taking a 2-year music course for my final two school years, then I'm going to university to study contemporary music performance, before moving to Tennessee when I'm 21. However, I'm open to any particular job offers which might change my plans ever so slightly
