About me:

Hello everybody, I was born in Athens,Greece, where I still live. I've travelled a lot, I 've met hundrends of intresting and different people, yet I consinder myself as a rather lonely person. Being an artist, has made me a bit of a mind traveller also. In my spare time,I paint or read philoshophy (I'm a genuine descendant of the ancient greeks, I supose) and everything that deals with human relationships in general. Anyone, who would like to know some more things about me, can also visit my site: www.katerinasart.com I would be very happy to meet new friends with similar interests. This is all very new to me, so I'm looking forward, with lots of excitment to hearing from all of you out there. Thank you, see you soon.

    Hello Katerina,

In a 2001 article about Martha Argerich for The New Yorker, critic Alex Ross wrote: "she is a charismatic woman with an enigmatic reputation; she is an unaffected interpreter whose native language is music. This....may be the quality that sets her apart....Few have the unerring naturalness of phrasing that allows them to embody the music rather than interpret it."

    Music:
    Partita No. 2, BWV 826 - excerpt

    Composer:
    J. S. Bach

    Performer:
    Martha Argerich

    All my best,

    Hello Katerina,

Generally regarded today as one of the greatest piano pieces written in the 20th century, this music ironically received a Stalin Prize, even though it has been subsequently interpreted as representing Prokofiev "venting his anger and frustration with the Soviet regime".

    Music:
Piano Sonata No. 7, Op. 83, Move. 3,

    Composer:
    Sergei Prokofiev

    Performer:
    Grigory Sokolov

    All my best,
    michael
