We really want to help young artists and musicians playing in local bands. We've been there, done that and want to help them get stated in the biz. That's one reason our prices are so low. We're a low budget/high quality recording studio to help those that are just getting started and need demo CDs, a place to practice or some guidance in the music industry.

No time for such foolishness...music, music, music!! Ok, so we're not really in the studio 100 percent of the time and we do like to unwind sometimes at home with a few shows. We really like the new TV series Lie to Me and we can't wait to watch Son's of Anarchy this fall.

About me: We're Rod and Lisa, owners and operators of Moonlight Recording Studio. We really aren't in the business to make a lot of money just a few extra bucks on the side to support something we love to do. Make music, play music, listen to music, dance to music and bring our friends into the mix to have a good time! We are best friends and lovers with a passion to enjoy what life has to offer and we like to share our good fortunes with our friends.
Experience: Rod had been in the music industry for more than 20 years. He started playing drums as a young boy and soon learned the art of making ears bleed...he was in heaven!!! He quickly learned how to read music in school and earned numerous awards and recognitions as an accompliahed musician/percussionist. Rock and Roll was in his blood and it followed him where ever he went.
Rod has played with and/or recorded with James Maynard Keenan of Tool (www.toolband.com) and A Perfect Circle (www.aperfectcircle.com). Rod and Jim (most people know him as Maynard but we called him Jim in school) started their first band in high school called "Girlfriends on the Rag".
Brian Burwell, an accomplished musician playing for artist such as Michael Bolten and Neve, and Rod often jammed together to push each others talents, genres and playing abilities. Rod continued to create and play music with various bands throughout Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, Ohio, and most recently Nebraska. Although Rod has been successfully working with bands and musicians and their recordings for years from a home recording studio we recently took the plunge and opened a professioanl recording studio...thus Moonlight Recording Studio was born.
We currently have several bands that practice on site each week and more working on their CDs. If you or someone you know is looking for a place to jam or record give us a try. If you'd be interested in a short demo prior to comitting to a full CD give us a call and we'll see what we can work out.
Sooo...since I had so much fun making my CD with you I'm thinking of coming in and recording a few more! Maybe sometime this week?? There's a track I still have to get downloaded...brand new song by Kate Voegele, super fun to sing!
