Music
"A love for music is a terrible thing to waste!"
There are so many great musicians around. If you're not taking in some live music on a regular basis, then you are really missing out.

Books
There are lots of great books on music, many at your local library. Everything from the history of blues, jazz, rock, classical, etc.; Understanding the playing of music; getting to know the musicians; instruments and equipment. Two I am reading now are: "the Way of Music" and "Benny Goodman and the Era of Swing"
