Photobucket R.I.P. Officer Randy Simmons (LAPD Centurions), End of Watch: February 7, 2008. Officer Randy Simmons was shot and killed as he and other members of the Los Angeles Police Department SWAT Team made entry into a home. The team had been deployed to the home after a suspect inside called 911 and claimed to have murdered three family members. As the team entered, the suspect opened fire, striking Officer Simmons and a second officer. The suspect was later shot and killed by the LAPD SWAT team. Both officers were immediately transported to Northridge Medical Center, where Officer Simmons succumbed to his wounds approximately 30 minutes later. Officer Simmons had served with the Los Angeles Police Department for 27 years. He is survived by his Parents, wife, two children, and three sisters. Photobucket R.I.P. Officer Patrick McDonald (Philadelphia Blue Flame), End of Watch: September 23, 2008. Officer McDonald was on patrol when he stopped a vehicle occupied by two men. When asked, the passenger of the vehicle proved Officer McDonald with a false name. Officer McDonald asked the suspect to exit the vehicle, but the suspect jumped out of the driver's side door and fled on foot. Officer McDonald pursued the suspect for several blocks while requesting back-up officers to respond. Officer McDonald caught up with the suspect and they became engaged in a violent struggle, during which the suspect drew a .45-caliber handgun and shot Officer McDonald several times. When Officer McDonald fell to the ground, the suspect stood over him and fired several more shots, killing Officer McDonald. The suspect then stole a bicycle and fled the location, where he was intercepted by motorcycle Officers from the Highway Patrol. The suspect knocked one Officer from his motorcycle by throwing his bicycle at him. The second Officer got off of his motorcycle and engaged the suspect in a running gun battle, in which the Officer was wounded and the suspect was killed. Police Officer Patrick McDonald had served with the Philadelphia Police Department for eight years and was assigned to the Highway Patrol.

About me:

The California Blue Knights were established in late 2004. The basis of the Organization is to provide training for football and to raise money for Children's Charities. This is done primarily by playing spirited football games against other Non Profit Public Safety Football Teams in the National Public Safety Football League (NPSFL). The players on the California Blue Knights are primarily police and public safety officers from the Southern California area -- earning us the nickname the Southern California Blue Knights. OUR CHARITY The California Blue Knights raise money for two children's group homes. One of the group homes is called The Orangewood Children's Home located in Orange County California. Orangewood is where children live when they are taken into police protective custody. The California Blue Knights also raise money for Hillview Acres in Chino California . Hillview Acres is where children go to live when they will be in protective custody for a long period of time. USC and NFL Football Star Carson Palmer is also a main contributor to Hillview Acres. The California Blue Knights also improve community and police relationships as the public attends our spirited football games -- and the public gets to know the friendly helpful officers of the California Blue Knights. The California Blue Knights are highly appreciative of our wonderful generous sponsors.
