About me: Hi my name is Ashley, I’m 8 years old and was just recently diagnosed
with a rare
form of cancer called Hepatic Embryonal Sarcoma. This type of cancer
affects
only 3% of cancer patients from the ages of 2 - 6. Right now my cancer
is in
the advanced stages of 3 and 4. I am currently traveling to Portland,
Oregon,
to O.H.S.U. from Cottage Grove every 2 ½ weeks for chemotherapy treatments.
I am only going to be receiving 3 treatments and then will be traveling
out of the country to see a specialist for more advanced treatments due
to the rare type of my cancer. Due to the time constraints for my dad
and I, and the traveling expenses to Portland for my chemotherapy, we
are sharing a house with my aunt and uncle who are working to also help
support us. However, because of the ongoing expenses of everyday life,
traveling costs and medical bills, we are asking for your kind donation
to help my family and I. My goal is to be able to once again be the
everyday typical 8-year-old being able to play with my cat Moonbeam and
to be in ballet recitals. I also enjoy Hannah Montana, Tinkerbell,
Disney Princesses and spending time with my family and friends.
