Montana "Da Mac" aka "Mac" aka "Tana" hit the music industry by storm with his signature hit single, Rock On(Do The Rock Man). It was a song that blew up at the perfect time in the music industry. It collaborates a rock and rap sound that dropped around the same time as, Party like a Rock Star by the Shop Boyz. Because of the great success of "Rock On", Montana and SavoirFair Entertainment was able to secure an exclusive distribution deal with Koch Records. But all the deal manifested was one hit single digitally distributed. Now he's a free agent and it's time to watch a young man come into his own. Montana grew up on the Eastside of Atlanta, Georgia; Glenwood road to be exact. The same area(Zone 6) as rappers Gucci Mane and the newcomer, OJ Da Juiceman. The lyrical force knew at the age of 16 that he wanted to make music. He began at that young age making music with a childhood partners. Montana was first discovered by K. Rich, the CEO of SavoirFair Entertainment. It all began for Montana at the young age of 16, when he was signed to SaviorFair Entertainment. K. Rich finally had taken notice in nephew and what he had going. He gave him an opportunity to form his own group known as the “Get Rich Clique.”With all his childhood buddies who eventually became the Real Money Gang, Montana was able to hone his lyrical skills and his ear as a producer(he wrote and co-produced Rock On). Montana, who has definitely branded himself in the Southern rap industry; name originated from the Scarface character, Tony Montana. Presently, this 21 year old young man is very versatile when it comes to the music because unlike many rappers in the industry, he caters to all different audiences; the women, the hustlers, the hood, the suburbs, overseas, and the corporate world. Just like the late Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., music mogul Jay-Z and the self-proclaimed King of the South, T.I. What sets Montana apart from other rap cats is that he does not portray one type of style. He has a combination of them all. He has the mentality of a gangster rapper from the West Coast, the sound of a rapper from the South, and the creative lyrics of a rapper from the East Coast. Montana’s new album and new direction yet to be titled reflects on the choices and decisions that he has made throughout his life. Whether those choices he made where the right ones or the wrong ones, they have set milestones for his life and they have made him into the man that he has become.
