About me: Green The World opened July 24th, 2008 as a Eco-Friendly Retail Store. The thought behind the store came from its owner Beth Bell. I grew up here locally and have allways taken advantage of Utah’s resources to their fullest. I enjoys skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, running, and camping. My thought when opening the store was to preserve these resources for our future generations to enjoy. I wanted a local store where you could get all products that are environmentally safe and that do not harm the planet. I believe that “Going Green” does not have to be done all at once, but little by little. There are a few easy things that can be done that will benefit our world greatly. First, do not use plastic bags or water bottles. These have a tremendously negative impact on our environment. Another little step you can take is once you run out of your current cleaning or hair products begin purchasing products that are safe for the environment.
At Green The World I am striving to get more people interesting in saving our environment. I believe that by getting more people to see the difference that they can make would lead to amazing changes in the environment. If you need to buy a gift for someone then buy one that is safe for the environment and see the difference you can make. If everyone everyday would just do one “green” thing the impact would be huge.
Green The World would like to be a big part of the Weber County Community by being able to provide what people need to help them Look Good, Feel Good, and Do Good in their efforts to help save the planet. Green The World is a drop off for all your glass items which will be picked up and recycled. In the future, I hope to be able to provide a variety of information and help in sustaining the beauty of this state we live in. In an effort to do this, I will be holding free evening classes every quarter to offer help on how to be green and accepting suggestions in ways we can all help to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rethink. Together as a community we really can make a difference.
