About me:
At the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR), we provide leadership in creating a sustainable future for our state lands. We provide professional, forward-looking stewardship of our state lands, natural resources, and environment to generate revenue for schools and create recreational opportunities, in this and all future generations.
DNR offers opportunities for high school students to complete their culminating projects with the department. There are a variety of projects. Students have an opportunity to work outdoors and help the environment while finishing high school requirements and community service hours.
Who I'd like to meet:
DNR would like to meet an assortment of people from students and parents to high school teachers or advisors. We want to meet people who are interested in and motivated about the environment and who want to help make the environment better for future generations. We want to give high school students an opportunity to complete their senior projects or community service hours by serving as citizen scientists.
