Watermelon Sugar is a progressive folk duo rooted in soulful vocal harmonies, multi-instrumental musings and the twenty-year friendship of Hypatia Kingsley and Louise Bendall. Their voices, guitars, banjo, violin and mandolin blend to create original music made sweetly and felt deeply. Drawing from blues to punk, Watermelon Sugars music is not easily classified. Some fans have described it as intoxicating, hot & sticky sweet, and kick ass acoustic.
The two began to musically collaborate in 2001 and became a "band" in 2003. Their first CD, Sample, was released in October of 2004 and second CD, Something to Savor, in November 2005. The third, Slice, is currently in the works.
Although the two members make their homes hundreds of miles apart in Washington, DC and North Carolina, they manage to get the most out of the creative process together in sometimes frenzied gig and recording sessions.

Three Japanese Female peaceful singers; Hana Saito, NAORYU and Rika Shinohara play there. it seems folky heart-warm and acoustic. thanks for checking our live information. ARIGATO
hey whats up? i just tried this website and this thing is crazy i think it really works lol. you just answer a few questions and it shows you everyone from school who has a crush on you
Oh my Gaad, you guys look just like you did in high school! (I mean that as a compliment)And your music is fantastic! I haven't been to G-burg since probably 1990 or so. Maybe I'll make it to the 20 reunion. Oh, who am I kidding - if I'm going to travel that far (I'm in LA), it better be tropical or exotic. Anyway, I'm so glad to hear from you! -Kelly Witmer
Hey Hap, I can't believe we didn't get a change to visit before you left. You may not have heard I'm back in PA for good now. Let me know when you're back in the States. We have plenty of room here at the "farm" if you'd like to visit sometime. I hear Et is back in PA too. Funny how things turn full circle. Take care and maybe we'll see you sooner than later! ;)
