One of the most vital qualities in life is a lofty aim. Aim high or you may wound yourself in the foot. Life's successes are not accidents; they are the marks of aiming--aiming accompanied by trigger-pulling. When we aim, though we miss our target we will shoot closer to our goal than if we had never tried.
A sure failure is someone who doesn't know where he's going, doesn't know where he is when he gets there, and doesn't know where he has been when he returns. An aimless drifter makes nothing happen.

The Cross remains. It is not a onetime event of history that has ceased to surround us in its efficacy.
