Influences
I'm heavily influenced by Techmaster PEB & DJ Magic Mike.
I PLAY & WRITE WHAT I FEEL AND WHETHER THAT'S RIGHT OR WRONG IS UP TO THE LISTENER. AS AN ARTIST I FIND THAT MY GOAL IS TO PUT THE MUSIC & SOUND OUT THERE AND LET THE UNIVERSE DECIDE IF IT HAS ANY MERIT.....
I HAVE SO MANY INFLUENCES, IT WOULD BE HARD TO PUT THEM ALL HERE......
WORDS CAN ONLY BARELY REPRESENT THE COMPLETE EFFECT OF LISTENING TO THE WORLD AND EXPERIENCING LIFE AROUND ME IN MY MUSICAL EXPERIENCES DAY TO DAY. I AM ALWAYS REALLY BLOWN AWAY BY MICHAEL BRECKER, BUNKY GREEN, SONNY STITT, COURTNEY PINE, KIRK WHALUM, DAN HIGGINS, ERIC DOLPHY, JOHN COLTRANE & CHARLIE PARKER WHENEVER I HEAR THEM. THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT SAXOPHONISTS AND MUSICIANS THAT ARE INSPIRING, THOUGH. I FIND INSPIRATION FROM EVERY LIVING MOMENT.
ONE OF MY GREATEST INFLUENCES WAS MY HIGH SCHOOL BAND TEACHER. HIS NAME WAS RON VAN ORDER. IT WAS THROUGH HIM THAT I REALIZED THAT I COULD BE A LEADER AND SHOULD NEVER BE AFRAID TO LET ANY TALENT SHINE FROM MYSELF OR WITH OTHERS. MOST IMPORTANTLY HE TAUGHT THAT THERE IS MUSIC IN EVERY MOMENT AND I'M REALIZING THAT TO BE TRUE MORE SO EVERY DAY.
AS FAR AS WHAT I LIKE TO WRITE MUSICALLY ; I WRITE A GREAT DEAL OF ELECTRONIC BASED RHYTHMS AND BEATS, THEN I PLAY SAX or EWI OVER IT. IT'S VERY FUNKY AND VERY TRIPPY ALL AT ONCE. I LOVE THE MPC2000 AND I MAKE GROOVES ON IT ALL THE TIME. IT'S MY FAVORITE CREATIVE TOOL OTHER THAN MY MIND AND SONY ACID.
Sounds Like
IF YOU COULD MELT CDS AND BOIL THEM TOGETHER IN A POT AND THEN PUT THEM INTO A SKILLET AND FINISH THEM LIKE PANCAKES, I WOULD SAY MY MUSIC IS A COMBINATION OF FUNK, ELECTRONICA, JAZZ & TRIP-HOP ALL BOILED TOGETHER, POURED INTO A SKILLET, FLIPPED ONCE, THEN STACKED NEATLY ON A BIG WARM PLATE.
Here's the line up on the Allergic to Gravity Album:
Bass: Steve Logan, Brett Bass, Ivan Bodley
Guitar: Oz Noy & Gus Gazetas
Percussion: Rolando Rosado (Congas) & Mal Stein (Darbuka & Rik)
Turntable-isms: Mr. Kahn

I finally finished up a project I have been working on closely with my homie DJ Trippin' over the past few months. The idea was to take a handful of my freestyles, studio tracks, and b-sides I've recorded over the last year and combine them all to a 1 track mix. All mixing, scratching, and juggling was performed by DJ Trippin'. The effort is available for high quality download by clicking the cover below!
NEW MUSIC, HERE & NOW!!!
Just wanted to let you know I've been hard at work in the studio for my long overdue sophomore album, and have just posted a new track for you to preview. The song is called "SLOW ME DOWN" and it's a demo that I did at home, co-written by the very talented Johnny Reid! I am so excited about the new album that I just couldn't wait to share SOMETHING with everybody, so I hope you enjoy this little "sneak peak"!!
I look forward to hearing from you about the track, and encourage you to check out the new pictures I've put up.
Hope you are having a great week!
