TelevisionIf you haven't guessed by my photos I'm a huge Reality TV fan. One of the divisions of my company is based in the Reality TV arena. We had our own Television Show; Kill Reality which aired in the Summer of 2005 on E! and we do a weekly internet radio show that gets rebroadcast on Sirius and XM satellite radio.

In addition I'm a fan of NBC Soaps - both Passions and Days.

BooksMy favourite book is Logan's Run by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. It's a post apocalyptic tale of survival where a futuristic police man has to make a choice between duty and love by accepting death at age 21 due to over population of the Earth or believe the hopes of the "deviant" woman he meets who encourages him to run and follow a set of route markers to a place called Sanctuary where the mandatory death rules of society are not practiced.

I'm also a huge children's book fanatic: The Chronicles of Narnia, Willy Wonka, Peter Pan; Tolkien, and Baum's Oz books.

I'm one of the new breed of Hollywood Industry Executives; the New Media Moguls. What is the new media? That is a debate for the ages but I like to define it as publishing entertainment content in non-traditional ways - like movies downloaded onto a hand held device - and using traditional ways to offer up new content such as interactive Television.

Who I'd like to meet:
I'm fortunate to have met a lot of my personal heroes already - Malcolm Forbes, Donald Trump, Paul McCartney. I'd really like to meet Sid and Marty Krofft who were visionary producers of children's television in the early 1970's. I'm a huge fan of most of their work.

Other folks no longer with us but I would have loved to meet - CS Lewis (Chronicles of Narnia) and L Frank Baum (Oz Author.) They created some of the coolest kids books ever but ones that adults can still enjoy and get something out of.

I was sitting in the hospital yesterday watching some of the elderly people that came in. They were so depressed and lonely. They just sat and stared out into space. They had no one to care for them. Visit a nursing home today. They need us and we need them.

"Of Courage and Heroes"

In battle even fools can be courageous. In real life, real heroes aren't born, they are made. Out of the heat and fire of life heroes are forged of their own mettle and faith. Mettle of their own fiber and being and faith in their God to deliver them from all harm. The risk real heroes take is a testament of their inner strength.

May all of us live courageous lives, and in each of us find a deeper meaning of life and find God in our own way. In the end rejoice in the fact that we were there when it all happened and were truly blessed to be alive.

Take courage in not only what we share as humans, but take pride in who each and everyone of us is. The true meaning of friendship is to be a hero to one another and provide inspiration and strength in time of need. This world not only needs more heroes, it needs all of us to be friends. If more of us in this world were friends there would be no need for wars and heroes.
