Decades of Caribbean music influences, meets United States hip-hop & dance scenes, meets acoustic-drive and folklore, meets good 'ol mellow-Southern times between friends. .. .. 48 States Away's music differentiates from most artists' because of the unique backgrounds of our members. All of us have come from different races, states, countries, and really—stories. The beauty of these events occurring is that these journeys ended up with an open, yet similar view of life for all of us alike. We have strong Latin influences yet a unique experimental force with the simplicity of acoustic instruments, thus creating a beautifully composed piece of art. .. ....Our Desire? .. But remember: It does not matter in which religion, faith, believe, theological reasoning, or whatever else that touches your life in a beautiful way--what is important is that we ALL realize that our lives are much more and that WE can impact others here and abroad. Let us bring back community and love for one another! .... I know that these types of situations are not new, but these kids touched my heart for several reasons, and I feel like I have to share it with all of you.
