Hello everyone, yes myspace page for Kenwood High School, the 1 and Only Class of 2000, is finally here!!!! I hope everyone is very excited about our upcoming 10 year reunion. Can you believe how fast 10yrs has just flown past???********************************************************************************************************************** Here is were you will find monthly updates as to how things are coming along with planning for the class reunion. For those of you who are unaware, Class reunion for 2010 will be held from June 11-13, 2010. Yes, we are having a 3day event so that everyone will have the opportunity to participate. So go ahead and mark your calendars, June 11th, 12th, 13th, request your time off, book your flights, make whatever arrangements that you may need, to be sure that you are here on those days, because I know we are going to have an awesome time ********************************************************************************************************************** There is a meeting held once a month for the class reunion, and anyone is welcome to attend. From here on, all reunion meetings will be held at "Get Some Coffee Cafe" right beside the Great Escape movie theatre off the corner of Trenton and TinyTown Rd. At the last meeting, the committee decided to start having meetings every 2wks so we can stay update on fundraiser events and other activities. Next meeting will be held on Nov. 30th @ 7pm at the same location "Get Some Coffee Cafe" If you need directions or more informaton, please send email to class2000khs@yahoo.com ******************************** ******************************************************** During the last months meeting, committe positions were selected, and are as follows: President-Angela Poe, Vice President-Samantha Purcely, Secretary-Eva Whitten-Gibson, Treasurer-Monica Gonzalez, 1st Chairwoman-Keidra Shanklin, 2nd Chairwoman-Lana Frederick...So many of you received invitations in the mail a few weeks ago that gives the price of your ticket and the dates and times of the events...If you didn't receive an invitation, or know someone who didn't, it's probably because we do not have your mailing address. So again I do ask, please send a message or contact one of the committee members with your mailing address. The committee has decided for those individuals who volunteer in at least 5 events, that person will receive a MAJOR discount on their reunion ticket. ********************************************************************************************************************** We are having a few setbacks in regards to volunteering at the LP Field and Sommet Center. We are only on call as backup for LP Field at this time, and we will probably not be able to volunteer at Sommet Center until January 2010, Yet it is Urgent that we start getting $ in ASAP!!! Therefore at last committee meeting, we discussed a couple fundraiser events to get some $ coming in. One suggestion was having a bake sale at least 1-2 weekends out of the month, another idea was having a dating auction at one of the local spots here in Clarksville. If anyone else has any good ideas for raising $ for our reunion, please feel free to email or message KHS Class Reunion here on MySpace or FaceBook!!! Thank You.... *********************************************************** *********************************************************** During our 10 year reunion we will give honor to some of our fellow classmates who have passed away. Two individuals that we know of are Tanisha Wilborn and William Steinke. If anyone knows of other classmates that have passed away since graduation, please send an email/message to this page or even to the Kenwood High School Class of 2000 facebook page. We do not want to leave anyone out....Also there are several classmates in the US Army that will not be able to attend the reunion due to deployment, so if you are a soldier or know a fellow classmate who will be out of the country next year during Class Reunion 2010 please send me a message so that we can give honor to those brave soldiers.**************** ********************************************************** ********************************************************** Last but not least, I will be collecting old school pictures from back in the day to form a slideshow during one of the days events for our the class reunion. If you have any old pics that you would like to send, please forward the pic by email, or by mail (if needing to mail pics, please send message to this page and I will give you mailing info).
