Greg's Interests
General
Im interested in drawing, discovering sounds that move my soul, watching, playing and listening to football (Huddersfield Town), talking to (certain) people, reading and thinking.
I've also become very fond of goalkeeping, you won't know until you've tried it but denying someone certain glory by stretching every muscle in your arm is extremely satisfying.
Music
is rather special don't you think? I particularly like the scintillating sounds of The Arcade Fire, Antony and the Johnsons, The Beatles, Belle and Sebastian, Chuck Berry, Black Keys, Bloc Party, Buzzcocks, BRITISH SEA POWER, Cat Power, Clap Your Hands, The Clash, Isobel Campbell, JOHN CALE, NICK CAVE, Leonard Cohen, The Concretes, The Cramps, Bo Diddley, Donovan, Ian Dury, Nick Drake, Durutti Column, BOB DYLAN, Elbow, Elvis, THE FALL, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Grandaddy, Bill Haley, Richard Hawley, Howling Bells, Jake Thackray, John Lee Hooker, Idlewild, Iggy Pop, INTERPOL, James, Jarvis, Jesus and Mary Chain, Joy Division, JEFFREY LEWIS, Lightnin' Hopkins, John Mayall, Mazzy Star, Mercury Rev, Modern Lovers, MORRISSEY, Van Morrison, My Morning Jacket, Neutral Milk Hotel, New Order, Mary O'Hara, Public Image Limited, PULP, Ramones, 80's rem, JONATHAN RICHMAN, Sex Pistols, Sandie Shaw, The Shins, Small Faces, THE SMITHS, Sol Seppy, Sonics, Specials, Son House, Soft Cell, Springsteen, Stooges, The Strokes, Stones, Super Furries, Television, Johnny Thunders, The Velvet Underground, The Violent Femmes, Scott Walker, The Walkmen, White Stripes, Wire, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Movies
Kes, High Hopes, Tickets, The Edukators, Amelie, Dead Man's Shoes, L'Homme Du Train, You Me and Everyone We Know, Cinema Paradiso, Wicker Man, Sideways, Midnight Express, Napoleon Dynamite, All Or Nothing, Downfall, Lost In Translation, 24 Hour Party People, The Straight Story
Books
...are wonderful.
Currently reading Wild Swans, a 20th century historical look at China.
About me: Hola,
Se llama Greg,
In an ideal world I'd spend day after day drawing in a loft apartment overlooking the sea, drinking tea and listening to beautiful music.
In reality I live in Leeds and slave away in a bookstore day upon day.
I saw British Sea Power about a year ago live at the Brudenell and a fortunate young lady was recruited onstage sporting a T-shirt bearing the slogan 'On Work Experience'. She played bass and was stunning. If you are her, I love you.
I'm available on commission for your illustration needs.
Who I'd like to meet: I've met Mr Jarvis Cocker, Corrine Bailey Rae (twice), Lily Cole, Michael Barrymore, Tim Westwood, Alex Zane, Ricky Wilson, Interpol, Damien Lewis, Peter Andre, Paul Simpson, Yan from British Sea Power and the English chap in Franz Ferdinand.
Who could I possibly wish to meet now?

hey greg..... not sure whether you know but a meet up has been arranged on facebook. there is aload of people going to the trough on sunday afternoon. are you able to make it? it'll be good to see you. pass the word on too
You aught to set your music to start automatically... It's not that I find it a great effort to put my hand over the mousey, then move it to line it up with the arrow thingy and then press the button (OMG sometimes I have to click twice).. it's just nice to hear music while your page is loading.. my computer's slow.
Did you become a fan of John Cale after seeing the documentary on BBC4 (you told me you watched it after that great NY Dolls Doc)? Or were you already a fan?
cheers greg! this is the weirdest birthday ever, went out last night with people who are essentially strangers, everyone buying me drinks and that. Feel very rough now and flying out to jungle today on a 15 seater plane! glad to hear about zepp and nice one for the left footer! see ya mate
