| General | BBCF-Boys, Booze, Cars...and Food! A wise woman (aka my mother) once said, "A way to a man's heart is his stomach" and it's absolutely true for me. Aside from enjoying cooking and trying out new recipes and techniques in the kitchen, I'm a sucker for amazing meals and love going out and getting my grub on. From really, really nice gourmet feasts to lip smackin' BBQ ribs with biscuits, it's all good. | | Music | An audiophile at heart, I listen to a wide variety of music. Alternative bands such as The Decemberists, Kings of Leon and Snow Patrol are currently in my top ten, right along with J-Pop (Japanese Pop - I lived in Japan for a year and became addicted to this stuff!) and musica en español bands such as La Oreja de van Gogh and Julieta Venegas. Also, let's not forget about rap & hip hop which includes my boyz DJ Quik, Jay-Z and T-Pain and my old skool homies 2 Live Crew, Sir Mix-a-lot and Ol' Dirty Bastard. A throwback to high school includes the likes of Elastica (and their only solo record), The Breeders and Veruca Salt. | | Movies | I'm not much of a movie buff, but always enjoy a good movie once in a while. My favourite latest movie is Letters from Iwojima. Amazing movie. And The Sound of Music is another good one (I always wanted to be one of the von Trapp kids...they had it so good...well except for running from the Nazis). And after being scolded for not ever watching classic movies, I caught up on a few including Star Wars (see, I told you I'm not a movie kind a guy), Citizen Kane and recently saw My Fair Lady. But my all time faves, hands down, is Coming to America and of course, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. | | Television | Now this is much more style - TV. Within the past couple of years, I've become a tv junkie. I'm addicted to the Food Network and enjoy the likes of Paula Deen (and her habit to cook everything with at least one stick of butter), Alton Brown (and his nerdy yet fascinating takes of blending the art of cooking with simple science & history) and my all-time fave, Giada DeLaurentiis. Although many have said never to trust a skinny chef, I love this woman! She's simply amazing, uber talented, makes the best dishes (I cook a lot of her recipes!) and best of all, has the biggest mouth I've ever seen that resembles the front-end grille of a classic Buick!
Aside from cooking shows, I'm also a reality show junkie. I'm currently addicted to Flavour of Love Girls Charm School. Nothing gets me going like ghetto gurls acting, well, ghetto. And this show doesnt shy away from these gurls getting down and durrrrty. 24 and Jack's Bauer's incessant screaming is another one of my other faves along with The Office, Extras, Planet Earth (such amazing footage...how did they do it?!), Lost, Arrested Development (so pissed they canceled it), The Simpsons, The Soup and Man vs. Wild (Bear Grylls is soooo HOT!) | | Books | How to Celebrate Talk-Like-a-Pirate-Day, Kitchen Confidential and 24 (yes, there are books based off the show 24...with Jack Bauer still screaming at Chloe to download those encrypted files to his PDA) | | Heroes | Mi mama |

About me:
I'm a total car geek with a relentless adventurous spirit. I've been known to have a proven track record of having a good time wherever I go and best described as being gregarious, fun and keepin' it real (and on occasion, ghetto)!
Aside from being a master at old school Nintendo (with Kid Icarus, Rad Racer and Super Mario Bros 2 being my no. 1s in my book), I'm also known as a master handy man (my alter ego being Manuel Labor) and have done everything from putting up sheet rock, setting tile to sanding wooden floors and recently installing my friend's garbage disposal. Dude, am I Mexican or what?!

Who I'd like to meet:
My father. He was ill while I was growing up and passed away when I was eighteen. I would give up everything to spend an entire day with him.
