Charan P. is a poet/performer/educator transplanted from Chicago to New York. Poetry takes its rightful place in her life--neck and neck with teaching. She has featured in the 2008 Black Women's Arts Festival in Philly and in the Washington DC's Poetry Festival. In NYC she has featured at venues such as the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, the Bowery Poetry Club, The Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar, and others.
