Located in Seattle, 4Culture is a unique integration of arts, heritage, preservation and public art; committed to advancing community through culture.
People who inspire us: visual artists, performing artists, musicians, museum directors, gallery owners, poets, teachers, legislators, leaders, movers, shakers, journalists, administrators, anyone who loves and supports art and culture.
Things that inspire us: art in public places, buildings that are older than any human we know, heritage trails, old ships that haven’t sunk, learning about our ancestors, learning about other people’s ancestors, seeing art engage people walking down the street, having strong cultural institutions in our community, giving artists opportunities to grow and make work the way that they want to.
Essentially, we are into anyone and everyone working to make King County stronger by preserving our shared heritage and placing local culture at the center of every civic endeavor. It’s work that takes many forms—from guerilla theater to public art commissions—where the possibilities are limitless.
