Aliaksei Tomanau's (DBColl) and Yury (DD) Stylski meet in Brest city (Belarus, ex-USSR) back in 2001. Being musicians who were henchmen of different subcultures (electronics and the punk/grunge) and who always shared a big interest towards music production they soon decided to join forces in a common project.
Squeezed out of electronics and punkrock scenes from the end of 90’s – beginning of 2000’s and sustained in the best traditions of styles, 4KUBA has and obvious and distinctive sound character. Uncompromising rave sounds, sawing basslines and strict drum sections, unpredictable hooks and turns and, certainly, sounds of distorted guitar – these are the components of the 4KUBA characteristic sound.
4KUBA is the most known and successful live-breakbeat group on the ex-USSR with already 2 high-grade albums on CD, over ten successful releases on vinyl (in USA, UK, Canada and Spain) and nearby 15 mp3 singles and remixes under their belts.
Throughout their career they’ve been able to collaborate with a vast array of artists and labels, with releases on GoRecords, Nubreaks.net, Born Idle, Epidemic, Stepsine, Systematica, Polar Red Rec., Bass Reflections, High Grade, XSSR Music …
In 2009 4KUBA gets affiliated in one of the world’s top Breakbeat labels iBreaks Records, and kick off their work under the iBreaks brand with their magnificent “Burning Cactus EP”. This release series has been in the top positions of most of the Breakbeat charts around the planet and have received full support from the leading breaks djs and radio stations.
At the moment 4KUBA is locked into their studio preparing their first album with iBreaks Records which will be released in 2010.
4KUBA shows are based on LIVE sets only, meaning that every single show is unique and you’ll hear only their own productions. If you add to this the amazing energy of their music to their enthusiasm, you can be sure this is one of the strongest breakbeat acts out there at the moment. You can see this in any of their youtube clips, which all have one thing in common… Public goes mental!!!
Some of the countries that have seen live acts from 4KUBA headlining some of the most important festivals on the area are Spain, Portugal, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus...
4KUBA has been sharing stages with artists such as The Prodigy, Crystal Method, Pendulum, Hybrid, Atomic Hooligan, Stanton Warriors, Freestylers, Noisia, Aquasky, Breakfastaz, Meat Katie, General Midi, Rennie Pilgrem, Far Too Loud, Napt, Ctrl-Z, Koma and Bones, Rogue Element, Elite Force, Ils, Dopamine, Deekline, Splitloop, Quest and Odissi, Andrea Lai, Diverted, Specimen A, Def Inc, SuperstyleDeluxe, Aphrodite, Jay Cunning, Hyper, Hardy Hard, Leeroy Thornhill, etc.
In October, 2009 4KUBA was pleased to participate as support act @ The Prodigy Live concert in Minsk (Belarus).

Part 2, featuring the tracks "Bass Association" and "Dancefloor Destroyer". iDJ breaks release of the month: "FTL is now a solo project with Oli Cash and his sound just continues to get better and better. The production quality is head and shoulders above most in the breaks scene and has the same kind of aura as a Noisia – a big compliment. Two peak timers from the excellent Funkatech stable. Bass Association carries the trademark manic mix up of styles whilst Dancefloor Destroyer does exactly what it say on the tin!" 10/10 MP3s now available exclusively from Beatport (other mp3 stores from 9th Nov), 12" vinyl also available from 2nd Nov.
