German quartet 4LYN has been kicking up a lot of dust since their formation sometime around the beginning of the 21st century. Their four well-received albums have all charted and they have released a steady stream of successful singles. The band has toured relentlessly all across Europe in support of top acts such as Papa Roach, Thumb and Therapy? In July 2006 in the exotic setting of Istanbul, Turkey, they were the sole openers for Guns N’ Roses and 4LYN raised the roof with a rockin’ performance in front of 15,000 appreciative fans.
The restless quartet from Hamburg is ready to take things to the next level with their fifth studio album “Hello”. Released in January 2008, this new album is chock full with fist-pumping guitar power and sing-along choruses. “Hello? is a quantum leap forward for the talented group of four. “This record is about four young guys with many stories to tell?, explains 4LYN frontman Ron Cazzato. “’Hello’ reflects our many experiences over the past few years. Maybe differently from some of our previous albums, this record hits full stride after just a few seconds. So if you’ve never heard of 4LYN before, this is the perfect opportunity to check us out. We’ve developed as a band and so has our music – but with no detrimental side-effects. This band has kept us young and you will notice this by the first song, even if the subject matter is different from our first four albums.”
Now that the album “Hello” has already been released in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland, 4LYN is set to conquer the rest of Europe, starting with France, where fans are anxiously awaiting them. In fall 2008, the album will be released in the US (via Megaforce) and Japan before hitting shops in Eastern Europe.
Their final gig will be on 15 November in the Hamburger Docks where camera teams will be waiting to capture this concert in the finest quality so that it can be available as a DVD early in 2009. |
