With much of today’s music being controlled, contrived and slickly packaged its no wonder that listeners are desperate to seek out something fresh sounding. Something that moves away from the typical record label conveyor belt blah and which creates a buzz all on it’s own.
4ortherecord is offering musical discovery by actively seeking out new music in any format and providing you with a platform in which to promote what you do and how you do it. This website has been born out of a thirst for tapping into what we believe should be at the heart of the UK music industry and giving people who are “up and coming” the opportunity to put their stuff out there to a wider audience. We want to find the emerging talent and get behind it!
Alongside the Unsigned section of this site we will also be paying homage to the music being made by the established artists and bands we love. This will include feature articles, interviews, reviews and some cool design and photography.
It’s not just about the muso’s though people!! This is also your opportunity to get involved in writing, as we need contributors to write for 4ortherecord. Whatever your background or experience if you are someone whose love for music leaves you constantly searching for an avenue in which to pour out your thoughts then get in touch. Lets create something exciting and pre-empt the industry, bringing together artists both new and established that we genuinely believe in.
