A MESSAGE FROM RICHIE
I've lived everywhere. Philly, Los Angeles, and now find myself living out of a suitcase so to speak.
I have only been on MySpace a little over a year now and cannot believe how many talented and inspirational people I have communicated with and met here. MySpace is the best marketing tool. I've met radio dj's, club dj's, film producers, tv execs, the press, and so many sincere new friends.
It is amazing how in just that very short time of being on MySpace that I have gotten over 250,000 profile views thanks to you...in just a year and a half.
I don't think it's humanly possible to meet that many people in a year is it ? Well unless you're on stage...but I'm talking about one on one contact. Anyway, thank you all for your nice comments, emails, friendship, hosting offers, remixing offers, and especially your genuine support. I reply to every email even if it takes me a couple of weeks. I am not one of those people who read and delete your emails and I love comments and hearing about all of YOUR accomplishments too. I am just a South Philly raised boy who learned that marketing yourself is just as powerful and important as letting the companies you work for do it for you. I've always followed my dreams without ever letting negative advice stop me. It never did and it never will. So haters be warned. If you want to despise me for my way of thinking, or for having the balls to promote the way I do, then so be it. But I suggest you do the same. Believe in yourself. Push yourself. Love yourself. Believe that you can conquer all of your goals.
And remember there is not just one ship that comes in...there will be many...Just let them dock and don't be afraid to set sail. There's a huge pay off living this way...Slowly, but surely. I've seen my dreams come to fruition and am the happiest I've ever been in life due to being secure. I give all credit to God.

If you're an avid viewer of television, or listen to pop/dance radio, then you already know Richie Rosati. Rosati is not only a Songwriter, Music Publisher, and Recording Artist, with songs airing on worldwide radio stations, but he also specializes in Public Relations (both commercially for firms and independently). Rosati is currently also hosting television for a variety of major television networks.
Rosati grew up in a musical, Roman Catholic, Italian, family. He attended the Girard Academic Music Program High School in Philadelphia, also known as GAMP. After graduating high school, he attended college at Philadelphia University. Rosati left Philadelphia to live and work in Hollywood, California when he was offered representation with The David Wilder Agency located on the Universal Studios lot in Hollywood.
While Rosati was promoting his music career in Hollywood, he met and began working with his first record producer, George Reich, while hanging out pushing song demos on dance club dj's at various Hollywood night spots.
George Reich is credited with discovering Rosati musically. The two began working out of Reich's recording studio on a song demo for Rosati's first radio played single "Fast & Nasty Girl".
"I had no clue what I was doing back then. I just knew I wanted to write music and sing my own lyrics. I went to a music school and always wrote the music and lyrics to my songs. I really didn't know too much about the technical end of everything back then that was surrounding me in George's studio. I learned really fast though. I spent hours there when I wasn't acting. We'd record until I literally had no voice left."
Both Reich and Rosati began shopping the completed demo to Los Angeles and New York City dance record labels and DJ's. Hollywood DJ's started playing the song demo in the dance clubs while Reich and Rosati kept shopping for a record label to release the song worldwide.
The demo caught the attention of DJ Vinny Lombardi back in Rosati's hometown Philadelphia. Lombardi was a radio DJ for WPWT 91.7 FM Dance Radio and the first radio station dj to ever spin Rosati's music on the radio airwaves.
When Rosati's talent agency relocated their offices to New York City, Rosati headed back east with his agency. While promoting out of New York, he met and started working with another record producer named Rob Federici. Federici asked Rosati to redo the song demo professionally that he and George previously recorded so that commercial radio stations could air the song.
With the help of Program Director Glenn Kalina and Music Director Pam Grund, the commercial version of Fast & Nasty Girl ended up making it onto the airwaves of Philadelphia’s most popular dance radio station WIOQ-Q102 FM. Rosati began doing promotional club performances for the station to promote the song.
From the massive airplay Rosati received on that station, and with the help of Woody Dyer and Nate DeLego, Rosati landed a distribution deal with Universal Records Distribution. As Rosati's first single continued to be played on Q102 FM, other US stations started adding the song as well.
Rosati said, "I felt relieved. The distributor did much of the foot work for me as far as shipping worldwide to stores so I was able to spend more time with the creative side of my music and deal with the Program Directors more exclusively."
It was during this time that Rosati landed a part in the film "Home Of Angels" opposite Sherman (George Jefferson) Hemsley and Abe (Fish) Vigoda. I remember while doing the film groups of young kids who were fans of my song would hang out on the movie set. The director of the film didn't know I had a song on the radio until all of these kids showed up with my CD asking me to sign it. It was surreal to me. I think he felt he should of given me a bigger part after that. lol. "
Rosati then recorded the single "Metropolis", which caught the attention of Henry Stone and Paul Klein who owned the internationally distributed dance record label HOT Records, which was based in Miami. The executives at HOT Records matched Rosati with yet another Producer (Bobby "LA" LaSerra), who owned and operated HOT Records sub label Strong Island Records.
LaSerra, Rosati, and the executives at HOT Records released several remixes of "Metropolis" worldwide.
Rosati said, "I use to call Paul and Bobby and the HOT crew everyday in Miami. I would come up with all kinds of marketing ideas to run by them. Since I consider myself to be a good marketer, I just couldn't sit back and do nothing. I was a real pain in the ass but they loved me for it."
Rosati then released Inside Your Love on Universal Distribution which obtained more than 20 US radio ads and overseas play. His current single is a dance single titled "Get Down With My Love" which is getting radio play in the US and overseas but Rosati is shopping for a new label to take over distribution. "I am ready for someone like Warner now. It's just that time for me."
While Rosati continues hosting and acting on TV, he is also back in the recording studio recording new music daily. "I have my own recording studio now in my home so it is much easier to wake up at 4 am if I hear something in my head...an idea...that I want to lay down tracks for...", Rosati said.
