Under the Radar delivers a spirited mix of folk, blues, country, swing and bluegrass, combining the talents of four northern California musicians. Band leader Kevin Russell and mandolin player Layne Bowen were both original members of the Mordern Hicks. They have each played in a number of other popular Sonoma County bands over the years. Ted Dutcher a veteran of numerous band including HiJinks and Terra Nova, joined Kevin and Layne in Modern Hicks along the way. Michael Capella started his career as a pedal steel player (Joe Ricthie, Hotspur) and has been playing dobro with Late Harvest the last five years.
