About me:

I'm a 56 yr. old woman recovering from drug addiction..I am blessed to have made it through treatment this time with a different mindset..I am suddenly alert to life in full focus instead of the chains of self indulgence, regret, horror and aloneness.I'm finding upon re-entry that i have sadly missed alot, but at the same time feel like a child again. full of wonder, curiosity and awe. The world is a place to me now in living color, full of endless possibilities to encounter and experience. This all goes away with using any kind of mind altering chemicals and if anything matters the most to me now, it is this knowledge. I never knew I was free to make a choice. I am a happy, congenial and very curious person for the most part now and that in itself helps me stop the tapes my disease can play!..I am blessed to have a tri state array of friends in recovery and two wonderful daughters who are glad to have their mama back and also a grandson who now has a grandmother.. he's a football star and I already see him at the only college in tx.. THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS LONGHORNS!!.but he wants to go to Tech..NEEDLESS TO SAY...I'm a fan..wherever he goes!! I'm glad to be alive today and look forward to connecting with some new and old friends here..I absolutely try to have no big deals in my head plaging my serenity.
