Brian Copeland
Brian has been fronting a number of local bands around Rochester since the late 80s. These bands include No Parole, Highwire, Captured, and Catch 22. He has a wide range of influences including Journey, Aerosmith, GnR, Van Halen, STP, Ozzy, Soundgarden, and many more.

Nick Iovine
(pronounced I-veen)
Guitar
First guitar riff wasn't 'Smoke on The Water' or 'Stairway to Heaven'. It was 'She' by Kiss. Although First solo learned was Freebird.
Climbed out of the basement with a southern rock band at age 15 and gigged around town. That quickly evolved (as my hair grew) to more heavy 80's guitar stuff like Iron Maiden, Sabbath, Dio, early Y&T, Riot...etc.
Main influences besides the Skynyrd trio were Paul Gilbert (Mr.Big) Steve Via, all of Ozzy's guitarists and of course, Eddie VanHalen.
Played locally in bands such as Pantara, Highwire, Moriah, Catch-22 among others.
Thanks to all that have been supportive and to you for reading this. (and I did cut my hair)

Rob Mount
What Rob brings to 50/50 is raw solid power! He is a very knowledgeable, technically oriented player of 33 years (twelve of those classically trained). Rob has a great "rock feel" not unlike the players he admires, citing such influences as Tommy Aldridge, Scott Travis and Deen Castronovo. While his drumming has been internationally acclaimed in Europe and Japan with Metal Blade artist "Liegelord", Bareknuckle recording artists "Thick As Thieves" and "Ramrod" (featuring members of Overkill), Rob's style culminates these influences and brings his own touch to the band. He has also completed numerous recording sessions with various bands and has been performing extensively throughout the US, Canada and in Germany at the largest Heavy Metal festival in existence - the Wacken Open Air Fest. Rob's intuitive energy drives 50/50 from start to finish.

Dave Belec
Dave plays keyboards, rhythm guitar and backing vocals...basically whatever it takes to fill out the sound and make the rest of the band shine. A true utility guy. He's classically trained on French horn, toured Europe and most of the US as a brass man in a former life. He's a self-admitted hack at keys, but enjoys it too much to stop. He's played with many different musicians in the local scene, and for a while he just played with himself. Dave's damn glad to be here. His primary board is a Yamaha Motif, his ratty secondary is an old Korg X3. His guitar is a Yamaha Pacifica through some cheap pedals into a Marshall. For Pete's sake, don't tell Marshall. Dave also enjoys Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain. As for musical influences, he's been known to drink Bud faster with .38 Special on the jukebox, preferably something from the "Wild eyed southern boys" era.

What a weekend double header! The East End rocked as always! The Journey show at Pelicans was a great warm up to seeing Journey this upcoming weekend! Drums, vocals, keys, bass, and guitar were blowing the roof off of the Nest..people could not get enough! And tell Brian, Arnel rocks :)
Hey, Guys! Thanks so much for inviting me up last night! What fun!! You guys totally rocked Pelicans! Hope you'll come out and jam with Flour City Rockers when you get a chance! Hugs!!! Cindy
Its been too long since we have seen the rockin antics from 50/50!! Its going to be one hell of a party tonight with u guys and the entire population of Rochester! lol
I played with Dan Mayer in a band call 'The Heavist Thing on Earth' for a few years and he told me Nick left Catch 22 for another band. I understand why. I just saw your band for the 1st time at Pelicans a month ago and I think you guys sounded awesome. Everything was on point...drums and bass in the pocket, lead and background vocals sounded great and the guitar sound was awesome!
Bummed that there's no 50/50 show this weekend?! Looking for a kickass classic rock band to tide you over until next Friday's East End Fest? Come check out Household Pest at Pub 511 (formerly Stooges) Saturday night Aug 9th! 511 East Ridge Rd in Irondequoit. Hope to see you there!
I love it when you guys play Enter Sandman and Fuel from Metallica...any chance you guys would ever consider playing King Nothing or 2x4 off their Load album? I know they obviously have a TON of good stuff to play but I can just picture any crown going nuts to these 2 songs.
