Find a Ride is a social network that draws awareness to Chicago commuters of different carpool options that are available in the city and surrounding areas. We know finding someone to carpool can be a daunting task. Through social networking, we hope that we can link together individuals commuting to same area. Why you were invited? You live in Chicago-land area OR somebody would like you to recommend a potential carpooler in your network How is this beneficial? • Save money!!! Carpooling can save up to $3000 a year! • Environment friendly. As we continuously exploit our natural resources, it is becoming imperative to advocate and implement an environmental friendly lifestyle. Is Find a Ride available on other social networks? Yes we are available on Facebook, Linked-In, and MySpace. How do I find a potential carpooler? 1. Invite all your friends to join! In order to make this a successful site, we hope to link in as many Chicago land commuters as possible! 2. Post your commute on page and/or explore websites listed in the recent news feed. 3. Once you find a potential carpooler, state that you found them through Find a Ride and ask them to be a part of one of your social media networks. 4. Research and ask for recommendations! 5. Any questions or comments can be sent to group administrators. What if you decide that the carpooler is not for you? Delete from social network? That simple!
