    .. The hot Perth summer of 2005 saw four boozehound babes with aspirations to get off the dole and move to Japan form a joke band by the name of SEX PANTHER. Bets were placed and cards were read and nobody thought it would last past midnight...until it did! We have since amassed a hardcore group of 'Honorary Pantherettes' reppin' our paw print tattoo. Apparently it's also a gang tattoo somewhere in L.A, but we had it first. In the first 12 months these ladies cut their teeth playing with the likes of Jamie T (UK), Love Is All (Sweden), Guitar Wolf (Japan), An Albatross (USA), Dallas Crane (Aus) and supported virtually every interesting east coast touring band from Eddy Current Suppression Ring to My Disco, survived a whirlwind tour of the UK and Amsterdam where they were offered two spots playing at the prestigious 'Great Escape Festival' in Brighton...returning home to embark on an epic regional and metro W.A tour supporting Grinspoon and 6000k of white line fever - all off the back of their debut 5 song EP 'Killer Pink'. In early 2009 the Panthers released their first full-length album 'Dark Work' that stomps a path through the jungle somewhere between your armpit and your hip bones - hot, sweaty, feverous, primal and absolutely goddam fearless. To sum up their sound in one word...dirt. "Hi, we're Sex Panther and last night we slept in a playground." - opening line of The Great Escape festival gig in heavily booked-out Brighton. "Sex Panther are my new favourite Australian band." - Chris Bailey of The Saints having just witnessed the most trainwreck show of all time in Amsterdam and Mouthy being rushed off stage to hospital with a dislocated shoulder at the beginning of song four. "I quit." Ainslie being fuck off rock n roll on day one of a three week over east recording session. "Tie Me Down Sex Panther" Rolf Harris "Do one on my butt !" Peaches discussing the appropriate placement of her honorary pantherette paw print /first ever tattoo "We would like you you to play Pretty Boys live on set for a male auction strip scene" TV Producer for Neighbours .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Directed by Mat de Koning and made for under $200. Won "Best Music Video' at the 2008 West Australian Screen Awards. .. ..
