Music
There's simply too much. But everyone should check out the soundtrack to Marie Antoinette and there's a lot of Spoon on the soundtrack to Stranger Thank Fiction plus some other great stuff, so check that out too. Velvet Underground, just, kicks ass
Movies
I don't have any favorites, but I love the mind benders. Just saw Run Lola Run which was excellant. Watched Clockwork Orange again last week and realized that I could actually laugh. I felt like a sicko, but I think that's the point. Those were both awhile ago, but I recently saw Straw Dogs by Sam Peckinpah and Turkish Delight with Rutger Hauer. Wow, those did me in for a couple of days. Amazing, and so tense. Harold and Maude is probably one of my favorite movies, along with Juliet of the Spirits and Blow-Up.
Television
I was the biggest Alias fan until she got pregnant and ruined the show. Well, anyways. I get the biggest kick out of Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs. I was pissed when I found Arrested Development was going off the air. Here's to 3 seasons on DVD. And comeon, The Office? Who didn't jump for joy when they finally...... Books
A Prayer for Owen Meany, Welcome to the Monkey House, Flicker, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. On of the freakiest books I've ever read is Jay's Journal, the diary of a boy who gets caught up in this cult. I stuck to the sappy Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul for weeks afterward. I was also only eleven years old, but you know, how things can stick with you.
Heroes
Meryl Streep in Out of Africa. I sob every time. If I could meet someone, Bette Midler would probably be on the top of the list. I'm in awe of her. Karl Lagerfeld is also a top dog. And who wouldn't want to take photos and chat with Annie Leibovitz? These four people inspire me. I never used to be into this stuff, but seriously, wow. And I want to be Ingrid Sischy.
