Brotherflower is feverishly working on world domination with their undeniable love for playing music together. Listening to them tear into their songs Beans on a Knife, Down in New Orleans or Your Poor Daddy's Heart with fearless abandon, you'd think they were covering songs by The Band or Hank Williams. Their version of The Who's Baba O Reilly armed with only a mandola, guitar, and snare drum, sounds huge, Irish, and would surely make Pete proud. And the tender beauty with their version of Hobo's Lullaby just makes you sigh. Their name is a namaste' to the incomparable Texan, and author of the song Brother Flower, Townes Van Zandt. Each of the guys are veteran solo artists who have individually written, sung, plied their crafts in major motion pictures, network television, been covered by major artists, worked as sidemen,& opened shows for their heroes. The boys have garnered praise from the stodgiest of critics, and converted many skeptics. "Post-Civil-War-Jam-Band" is a term coined by Gary that upon hearing, journalist Theo Mullen said "we need more of that kind music". But truly, it only opens the door to these genuinely wonderful guys. They are not only great players, singers and songwriters, but are also all about good vibrations going to and coming from the music.
