  • Bio

.. Kiss Me Deadly is currently and constantly in a transitional, regenerative state. Due to the ongoing mundaneness of day jobs, I'll make this quick for all of your reading pleasures, but there is an extended version in the blog. .... Adam and Emily started the band back in 2000 because they were in love and thought they would start a band. They soon realized they loved playing music together more than each other and decided to keep it that way. Then Erik joined the band and the cops were promptly called on noise complaints, moving the practice space from Erik's apartment to Adam's laundry room, with it's unhooked, dryer exhaust hose-as-heat source-charm. They played two shows at Barfly on St. Laurent where after the second show a frenchman with dreadlocks approached Emily and told her they needed bass and that he was the man to do it. This was Mat. With the band complete, so began five years of sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Sophie joined us in our swan dive to record Misty Medley and with the genius of Mr. Jace Lasek, a record was made. .... Then touring lasted a long time in a really small van. Some band members moved to Vermont, while others stayed in Montreal. Commuting got tough. While KMD is on hiatus, Emily and Adam are currently writing an album in the back room of her house (just added * baseboard * heat to the room!!! Sweet!). .... Enjoy. XO
