About me:

I live my life based on my principles, reason, and logic. I want to serve God to the fullest extent while distancing myself from the Catholic church because of many issues of principle I have with them. However, I do beleive that the bulk of the letter of the Catholic teaching is rational and logical so I am giving the church one more shot. I am going to become a Greek Catholic priest in western Ukraine. If I find as much deterioration of the church and its morals there, the ukrainian orthodox will accept me with open arms. I am still by virtue of baptism and loose affiliation a "catholic" however I will not call myself such a thing. I am a Ukrainian Greek Rite Christian loosley associated with the Catholic Church. I do believe, however, that the Catholic church at one point in its history was part of the true church, pure in practice, with spotless leadership, and a profound message. However, since the middle ages on, it has done nothing but dirty and destroy the name of God in the name of God. It has had popes with illegitimate children, the instance of the spanish inquisiton, and the most recent abuse scandals. If the church could get back to its true message and out of all the filth, I may consider coming into a closer relationship to the church. However, until that time I must keep myself distanced.

Who I'd like to meet:

Jesus, and the love of my life, I am utterly indifferent to everyone else.
