My name is Ja’Kyta Sullivan, and I have reached a point in my life where I want to do more for my community. I have been inspired by our most recent Presidential election to be more of a leader and to make government more responsible. Some say at my age of 32, that it is not my time, but I say the time is now. I have a passion for our youth, senior citizens, education system and restoring our deteriorating inner city, and have worked in these areas over the past 6 years. The time is NOW for CHANGE in Wyandotte County. President Obama, has challenged every American to get involved in their community and help rebuild America, which is exactly what I plan to do.

I want to announce to everyone my candidacy for Commissioner of Wyandotte County. Some have shared with me that it cannot be done because I do not fit the “culture” of our government today. However, President Obama has proven to the world that all things are possible.

I need your help! Please spread the news to everyone you meet via email, text or word of mouth. My community funds my campaign and I am accountable to my community. A fair chance is all I want in this race to public office.
