Heroes
Heroes are people who break into a thousand pieces and create in those flaws, something beautiful.
It is difficult to describe oneself in so many words, especially when so many of those words are unspeakable.
But as to what I am, I am a nineteen year old singer songwriter, born and raised in Tallahassee, still living and looking to move on. I spend my spare time creating people and representations of my life on paper. I count in minutes and hours, not days and weeks, because that's dead exhausting; and I have learned that the time spent with those I love is so much sweeter that way.
I love my family that I have picked out from the world around me. I live for them, moreso than I've ever lived for anything else in my life.
I have forgiven, and I have moved on from pain because it was my only option. That doesn't mean that I will love you on sight because I am a "redeemed" person. I am hard to the world, and it takes some doing to get inside those walls if I don't think you deserve to.
I have been told that if you look carefully you can see the remains of my wings, even if they are a little tattered.
I believe that it is those with the most broken hearts that deserve the strongest guardian angels.
