Music
There is a difference between music played by a Christian and Christian music. The psalms were played using the full spectrum of musical instruments, yet what God chose to preserve for all of time is the lyrics. Christian songs should lyrically reflect Christ to the hearers and there should be no doubt about whether the song is about a girl or the Sovereign God. That doesn't mean that a Christian band shouldn't play songs that are just for fun, but it does mean that those songs are not "Christian" in and of themselves. Consider TFK's "Rawkfist" - a great, fun song, but no inherently Christian lyrics. TFK also plays many Christian songs and explains in their shows that the purpose for their music and shows (including just for fun songs) is to bring God glory.
Bands that have recently impressed me with their lyrical quality and/or on stage display of the fruit of the Spirit are:
116 Clique (Lecrae, Tedashii, Trip Lee etc.)
Seventh Day Slumber
Sanctus Real
Thousand Foot Krutch
Movies
Extreme Days - the greatest movie ever, Facing the Giants - a predictable ending with huge lessons about faith and God, a lot of movies using clearplay (filters out nudity, sex, profanity, blasphemy etc.) Check it out by going to www.clearplay.com. On second thought, go to www.sunrisebible.com, then click on the clearplay link so that 10% of your purchase goes back to our youth group!
Television
We unplugged the antenna because I get distracted too easily.

About me:
God has called me and my wife Lindsey to full-time youth ministry and Sunrise Bible Fellowship has made following that call a possibility. My greatest joy is seeing young people come to know the Lord and grow in wisdom and grace through reading, studying and obeying God's Word.
Who I'd like to meet:
Any of you Jr. High or High School students who haven't come to our youth group, especially anyone who is having a hard time, or needs hope for something better - this hope is in Christ.
Gee you know I keep thinking that it's someone's birthday. Someone REALLY REALLY REALLY important! Hmm...just can't put my finger on it. Oh wait...IT'S ME!!! lol. What a goose I am. You and Lindsey should call me and tell me happy birthday and you love me today! That's be great. lol. Have a good day Chris
lol. no more teeter-totters for me. :) it's feeling better, i can move it more. i don't think i'll need to go back in. my left arm is getting buff, too. lol. i think i'm becoming ambidextrous! :) i love you! see you SUNDAY at church.

Hey Chris. You're a wonderful cousin and I love you even though you make me sprint on an upset stomach. Ofcourse it wasn't upset until I started sprinting. lol. Anyway, I love you and Lindsey and I really appreciate both of you for being there when needed even on the spur of the moment stuff. :)
so i was just looking at your myspace comments and i noticed something thats a bit annoying....no one is ever unhappy with you or not complementing you. i guess your just too nice...oh well i guess im just jealous, ill see you at the game later.
Wow. That's SO much better (sarcastic) at least make a background. You know what you should do is wait til da bebe comes out and then use a picture of pedro for you background :)
