Whatever "I"s happen to be floating through my mindstream at the moment.

I was raised in Gulf Shores, Alabama and started playing guitar publicly in Connecticut in 1965 at age 15 in a blues band called The Shades. We soon joined the ranks of fledging pschedelians and changed the name to "Acid, it melts in your mind, not in your hand", then "Beverly Tomato" and "Congorilla"...Played mostly hippie freebies and frat house crap at UCONN where i was in school. The early 70's saw a return to the blues with "Dead End Nell" playing working class bars 4-5 nites a week...Chicago blues on stage and drunken fist-fights among the Flintstones in the crowd. Then a pop band, "Chop-Sueycide" which i never once saw correctly spelled on a marquee or club generated poster. Then a move to Chapel Hill in 1980 and "The Psuedes", a surf-punk band, as others labeled us at least, then a power pop band called "Secret Service". After the demise of Service i decided to hang it up after almost 20 years of giggin' and concentrate on my life as a married householder with 3 wonderful children. 16 years later in 1999 i started playing again, joining "Jonny Beaucoup and the Hong Kong Hodaddies". In 2004 i joined Killer Filler, a "surf, soul and lounge band from hell" instrumental outfit led by the one and only, the inimitable Chris "Crispy" Bess. In 2007 several friends and i started Amps Do Furnish A Room as a side project with the goal of playing Television's Marquee Moon album in a live setting. 2008 is the inception year for "Boat Burning", an improvisational band with ADFAR bandmates Andy Fekete and Ken Friedman along with Josh Starmer from The Old Ceremony. The songs on this page were recorded in 2004-5 in my modest little home "studio" strictly for the purpose of having fun. I hope you find something enjoyable in them!

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here: http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4
Hey pete! My old friend King Gully was the first Rasta surfer on the wild North Shore of Barbados. This song is based on his true story. It's been described as a cross between "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Puff The Magic Dragon". :>) I think you'll like it, as well as the shots of great surfing and amazing waves, all from Barbados! Enjoy.... For full screen viewing and sharing: http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=jjFRtKuXJ6E
