It all began when I was just a child, a babe in swaddling clothes, well maybe not swaddling, & definitely not a 'baby,' I think I was wearing a red velvet shorts/jacket suit combo, a fancy 'church/event type outfit," anyway, my folks were taking me to see a Michael Jackson concert. As I was very young, I don't remember much, but the one thing I vividly remember is sitting there in amazement watching Michael & thinking, "wow, this is SO cool, this is what I want to do!" I have realized now, however, that I have do have an innate gift of creativity of all forms; I do credit Michael & the experience of that concert at such impressionable young age as the reason I am a musician-artist today. I believe that Michael, the concert & his beautiful music were the magic spark that ignited my life long passion for the arts. I truly miss him. Ryan James is a New York based musician & Berklee College of Music graduate who creates many different forms of art and music. Ryan James writes, sings, plays, produces & mixes all of his own music, is working on a debut album & is truly the epitome of an authentic "solo artist". He is one of those rare 'renaissance men' who is constantly involved in almost all forms of creative endeavors. Besides his original music, Ryan also works as a photographer (http://on.fb.me/RyanJames_Photography), with advanced skills in photo editing & retouching, a graphic designer, a film & commercial sound editor specializing in mixing, repairing & mastering audio & is constantly networking & attempting to promote every aspect of his unique creativity. Ryan is proud to announce his involvement in an upcoming independent film entitled, 'STL', (http://bit.ly/STL-tralier). Ryan was hired as a sound engineer, editor, repairer & mixer for the entire aspect of the film which was written, produced & directed by Magda Ryczko for MagMar Productions & is thrilled to be working in his second favorite field, the film industry. The independent film 'STL' is soon to be released & will be submitted to various film festivals. We are hoping the independent film community will recognize the quality & dedication that has gone into the film's creation as we have been working meticulously on every aspect. In the past, Ryan has collaborated with other singers, songwriters & musicians, producing, co-writing, singing backup vocals & arranging for them. Some of these talent artists include: Adam Shenk, Jonathan Luke, Brendan Velasquez, Yvette Rovira, Amanda Davis Bland & international dance music icon Ernest Kohl. In addition to many other planned collaborations, Ryan is excited to announce that he will once again be teaming up with Jonathan Luke, 'Royal Lush,' who's original song, 'Joy Toy' was recently nominated for the 2011 Out Music Award for best song dance song.
