    Between 1993 & 1995, a Chester based band, started by Bruce (Richmond) Hurst (aka Zincfreud), called Sandstone Candy emerged, they wrote their own material & were part of an underground scene in the gothic City of Chester, they played in all the night spots including Telford's Warehouse. The 1st night they appeared they had the usually cool laid back audience dancing on the tables. They had several line up changes, the most significant being the 1995 line up, which appeared to be going places. They played at the Wheatsheaf in Stoke. However, the band was short lived. There are some recordings left from this time, including a studio demo & live recordings done on a dodgy cassette. The energy & sound produced still endures.

    Thanks for the add Bruce, be good to hear Sandstone Candy again, after all this time. The Candys were one of the best bands in Chester at the time!
