"Clare’s poetry glides effortlessly through the witty and profound. Her audiences love her flirting and marrying of language. A great live poet." [Chloe Poems]
Catch me out and about at local poetry events, hostelries and charity shops. The rest of the time I just sit and spin. That's what I do.

Who I'd like to meet: Myself when I was younger - to warn her!
Hi Clare, Was good seeing you lastnight and enjoyed your words as always especially the dodgy accent..lol Hope to see you again before you go off around the world (lucky girl)..
Hi Clare - thank you - yes, been to Wirral words / New Brighton Bards and the monthly event that Amanda De Angeles organised in the Mocha over in Liverpool - enjoyed it although getting my head around it still as I'm "new to this game" - enjoyed your site and found the tips useful.
Enjoyed meeting a whole breadth of people that live and breathe around me and talking and writing poetry a lot more - it seems to me a bit Harry Potteresque in terms of everyone being magically hidden from the "mudbloods" of normal society and there's so much happening - I really hope you know what I'm on about :)
I'll look into your work too as I've heard lots of good things about you.
City Talk 105.9fm 6pm on Sunday... This week on Rag Mag 8th June
Debbie Morgan, runner up of Pulp Idol 2008 reads The Jigsaw Dress, her short story longlisted in the LJMU Oceans of Stories Short story Competition.
What is indie music nowadays? It used to describe independence for the major labels. But now it's a different story.
It's June so we are half way through Liverpool's reign as Capital of Culture. The team discuss whether it's been a success or a failure so far. And what events and experiences we've enjoyed most.
Co-presenter Che claims not to use 'product'. Do we believe him? Do we expect men to take better care of themselves these days? How far should they take it?
Just to clear this up, are you still 100 years old, Clare? Happy belated THAT DAY greetings. I've forgotten how old I'll be next birthday and I'm hoping if people get it wrong and make me older than say er, let me think, um 25, no, make that 31, oh crap, or more, anyway, I'm a terrible liar and if they get it TOO wrong, I hope they can run very fast. I'll be having my celebration on 16th May from 5pm at The Mocha Lounge. I will be eating too much chocolate cake and getting high on caffeine. Wanna join us? I'm hoping the music and poetry will take attention away from my age. Warmest, Me 0:)x
