Interests

  • General

Usual stuff: working long hours, driving in congested traffic, watching religious programmes, housework, talking to nerds, reading electricity bills.

About me:

http://craighaggis.wordpress.com/ Porky is a bona fide doctor of music, purveying his eyes and ears over the latest groovy releases whether they be from Aoteoroa to Zimbabwe. I am a musical hoover, I will clean up on anything smelling of vinyl, cd or cassette. Porky prime cuts wants cds and will tell the world if it's worth buying or not, in his inimitable style, eschewing the standard 200-word drone. To porky, an album is not a product but a statement of intent. Particularly interested in all things Kiwi/ Aust/ Brit/ Republic of Palau. Send bribes to: PO Box 19104, Courtenay Pl, Wellington 6149. Any styles, but indie, reggae, post-punk, punk, folk and jazz will gain priority. As will most dance/ ambient. http://www.facebook.com/people/Craig_Stephen/626808901"; title="Craig Stephen's Facebook profile" tar

We like the pedigree of acts associated with Porky Prime Cuts. Minisnap are pleased to be invited to partake.
We're working on a split 7' co-op with John White from Mestar and the Blueness that's to be released by the Cake Shop in NYC. Also plan to combine our 1st 2 CDR EP's along with tracks from our Cloudberry 7" and a track on Caution Horse publication compilation CD. Bounce Around CD is available through Magic Marker and Stolen Recordings.
Go! go! go! the world of Indie labels!!

Hello friend! I remember going to England (Northampton) at the age of ten. My mother went out to buy us the compulsory woolly hat and scarf (not tropical there is it!?). The only decent girly colour for me, at the time, was green and white. I remember a Scottish teacher racing up to me in the corridor and excitedly saying in her heavy scottish accent "Wheerrre arrre you frrrrum!" Just as excited, I replied "New Zealand!" She was so disappointed. Then I was disappointed cos she was disappointed. I was later to discover that my colours represented Celtic Rangers and instantly became a childhood fan! Hey thanks for the add. Drop by our space anytime :-) P.S. We also did the trek North to Aberdeen. I only remember the (what seemed huge to a kid) amusement park somewhere near the waterfront. We were in Aberdeen when Elvis died - sad day. Also saw the Royal Brittania off the coast of Aberdeen - took a Polaroid photo and it came out as a tiny, almost invisible spot, on the horizon. Hey, thanks for inspiring those memories ;-)
