[5th Man Down] are loud, anthemic, and bloody good in all honesty. Gigs Unlimited
5th Man Down are four guys based in South London who happen to sound like Led Zeppelin brawling with the A-Team. Their style has been likened to artists such as Black Label Society, Pearl Jam, Tool, Soundgarden and Incubus, combining raging rhythms and huge riffage with powerful, emotional and melodic vocals.
The band was formed in 2000, and the band achieved much in the subsequent years, including two short tours in the USA, playing the Bloodstock metal festival as the opening band for Saxon, releasing their debut album and two EPs, producing two music videos, and playing many concerts all across the UK to enthusiastic audience receptions. The bands live show speaks volumes about them, obviously people who love what they do.
The bands debut album, "Are We Harmless?", a wide-ranging and powerful mix of contemporary rock songs, was released via Copro/Casket in June 2004, and has met with enthusiastic reviews across the board.
"[5th Man Down's] performance was truly amazing... They really commanded the stage and won over the audience in next to no time" - Bloodstock review, www.prettiesforyou.de
5th Man Down are currently on hiatus while the members pursue otherprojects, but the band hope to return to writing, recording and gigging one day.

XFM Review
I'm not totally at home with Rock (that has no extreme soppy/angry emo leanings), but have heard enough to know that this is it done very, very well. Deep, powerful voice, BIG music and just the feeling that something very professional is happening -I don't mean in a clinical way, just in that way that, when you find out they're unsigned, it's a bit of a shock. I'd be very surprised if they didn't massively pull it off live.
