So we've put together a five-step American democracy plan that we'd like to share with you to help make all of our single votes count way more than they already do!
Why and How?
Here's why:
To Protect, Preserve, and Promote Freedom and Democracy in America (as well as Peace, Love, and Understanding,... And Creativity, Faith, Truth, Fun, Sanity, Individuality, and all that other good stuff -- not to mention our economic well-being and our national reputation and security).
So we invite you to join us in completing this challenging challenge.
Here's how:
Become a Part of American History!
(1) Find Five Voters Who Will Vow to Vote.
If you have to, guilt-trip them into it!
(Starting with yourself, of course!)
(2) Photograph Each Voter Taking a Vow to Vote.
(Again, starting with yourself!)
Print out our paper-sized poster and have each voter you find hold it up with one hand while taking the heroic Five Voters pledge with their other hand.
I am one vote.
And my vote counts.
So, come rain or shine,
I vow to vote on (or before)
November 4th, 2008.
I also vow to at least THINK about the many
benefits of getting five other eligible voters
to actually take this Five Voters Vow.
Again, if you have to, guilt-trip them into it!
(3) Post Your Vow to Vote Pictures! *
(4) Repeat the process with another five voters.
Do this five-step FiveVoters.com American democracy action as many times as you can manage, every single day, until November 4th -- but definitely do it at least once!
(5) Celebrate on November 5th (and beyond) **
* Post the pictures of your five heroic voters vowing to vote in our myspace comments (or send your photo links to pix@5voters.com), AND post them on your own myspace pages and/or your other blogs and websites, AND anywhere and everywhere else that they'll have any chance at all of encouraging other eligible voters to do the same and vow to vote!
